The Art Wall, on Valencia Street between 23rd and 24th streets, has been a part of the Mission District art and graffiti scene since Bruce Tomb purchased the old police station in a city auction in 1996 and turned it into a home and architecture studio.

Tomb, who paid $560,000 for the station, sold it in 2019 to Mission Neighborhood Centers for $6.8 million.

The Art Wall has been retained. Matthew Lasar is checking in on it and shot this video on Thursday, March 21, 2025.
