Are you ready to watch the decisive Mexico vs. France match today on Univision? Well, Meg Whitman knows it will be watched by thousands of Mexican-Americans, which is why she’s running a Spanish-language ad in which she claims that she’s a “Republican who opposed the Arizona law and Proposition 187.”

As Salon.com points out, this is the same Whitman who opposes immigration reform and naturalization of undocumented immigrants.

She also doesn’t point out that her campaign chairman is Pete Wilson, the former governor of California and champion of Proposition 187 (which was deemed unconstitutional). During the Republican Primary, Wilson campaigned on behalf of Whitman.

Maybe she’s just trying to get more people to like her Facebook page “Latinos for Meg Whitman,” which has 33 members.

The “Meg Whitman 2010 Latino Coalition” is doing a little better, with 163 members.
