The longtime women’s clothing at Valencia and 22nd streets, Audrey, is closing at the end of March.
“We are sad to say goodbye,” said its owner, who chose not to disclose the reason for the closure.
When asked about the reason, an Audrey employee said, “Most of the shops are closing in downtown, what do you think why? Why do you think Macy’s is going to close?”
Audrey 3+1, the clothing line the shop sells, is a Los Angeles-based family business founded in 2006 and run by a mother and her three daughters. The family also ran clothing stores called X-Generation and X-Generation 2 in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury. Both have closed.
The store at 1034 Valencia St., which started in 2016, will have its last day on March 31. They will continue to take orders for their Audrey 3+1 and Smile SF clothing lines online.

Are we still blaming store closures on Covid? Or can we get serious about crime, drug addicts, and generally poor street conditions keeping people out of the Mission?
Yeah, look at Lolo: It’s so crowded nobody goes there anymore!
