The Sunday Mission Walk street-photo essays began in 2009 with Armand Emamdjomeh, who is now at the Washington Post. They’ve been on hiatus for some time, but when Tauseef Khan sent these in after taking a Sunday walk on Feb. 5, it seemed the perfect time to resurrect the essay.

  1. The building pic at 14th & Church is wrong. It’s on 16th & Church. The building that was there before was known as Catholic Purchasing during the 60’s until it was demolished. Some of us students from Mission Dolores Boys School at 3371 16th Street, would buy our Converse gym shoes there for $10.00 also during the 60’s. Around the corner up on 16th Street was a notorious apartment building used for prostitution.
