Too Foggy for a Flu Shot?

The banners, posters and  now billboards pushing  H1N1 (swine) flu vaccination seem somewhat out of sync with the virtual disappearance of both swine flu and seasonal flu.  No matter, says the Center for Disease Control, which still recommends the vaccine for everyone.  For current news and vaccination locations, contact the San Francisco Department of Public Health.

Medical Miracle:  Pulse Prayed for in Sacramento

A new website, HealthyCal.org, will track health legislation in Sacramento.  Sounds good, but do they  expect any legislation coming out of  the Assembly?  My doctor sez I would be healthier if I were more optimistic.  My brother sez my doctor’s a quack.

A Poet’s Progress

Great party a couple weeks ago at the Grand Opening of Viracocha Creation Factory, no?  Packed with people, food, drink and all that great art/stuff that Jonathan had on display.  But the next day, the store was closed. and has been closed since it opened.  After the party, we hear, Mr. Siegel discovered he had no way of processing payments or taking credit cards.  Grand Opening expected this week.

MUNI to Be Held Accountable?

Supervisor Dave Campos’ push to audit MUNI came closer to becoming a reality after the Board of Supervisors’ Government Audit & Oversight Committee approved the audit idea Tuesday.  See Rachel Gordon’s coverage at SF Gate.  Whether an audit will lead to a safe and effective public transportation system in San Francisco remains to be seen.
