To honor International Women’s Day today, Monk’s Kettle is pouring the first drink — draft beer or a glass of wine — free for all women.
If you miss that freebie, the excellent neighborhood tavern at 16th and Albion streets will also be starting a happy hour Sunday, March 11, that will run through Thursday, March 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. No, drinks are not free, but they will cut $1 from all drafts and they’re offering $2 pretzels.
