As it is National Donut Day, we should mention that Dynamo Donuts and Coffee has on display a variety of charming artworks by Alexandra Blum and Cecile Robles-Blum, who happen to also be the wife and daughter of local artist Calixto Robles.
The whole family was displaced by a fire at his apartment in April of 2015 but continues to make art as they search for space. Blum’s art in this exhibit combines donut and panda motifs to reflect on a variety of themes in a format that speaks to the fried pastry aficionado’s heart.
