The San Francisco Examiner reports that a 24-year-old man, identified as Jimmy Chandler, died in a shooting Thursday night.

A woman suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds in the shooting that was reported in the area of 23rd and Arkansas streets about 7:50 p.m., police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly afterward and found the two victims inside a car, Shyy said. Both were taken to the hospital, Chandler succumbed to his injuries. The woman sustained gunshot wounds to the arm and leg, Shyy said.
