The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a local LGBT organization, led Dolores Park Works and volunteers in cleaning up Dolores Park one day before the group’s annual Easter celebration in the park, featuring the famous Hunky Jesus Contest.

Despite predictions of rain, the sun showed up after just a few drops. For a couple of hours the group took away trash, cigarette butts, bottle caps and paper in preparation for Sunday’s events and also to remind others to clean up after the Easter festivities.

  1. The park was amazingly clean on Sunday evening. I had expected it to be trashed as usual was amazed at its pristine condition. Thanks so much.
