With no Sunday Streets this weekend, it was nice to be able to roam around the Mission District looking for shots of nothing in particular, even if I couldn’t just wander out into the middle of the street. This week was mostly Mission Street and a little bit of branching off into 16th, with just a touch of Valencia. Check the photos and click the caption button for more info.
Armand is a photojournalism and multimedia student at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, and is originally from Baton Rouge, La. His work history includes being a paper pusher in Los Angeles and a youth program coordinator in Ramallah, and is currently a student editor at Mission Local, which means he gets to read a lot of news and tell people what to do.
He also waits for the day when bacon and buffalo sauce combine on one plate.

What a lovely portrait of the neighborhood. I especially like the last image of the pigeons, palm trees and colorful building.
