The 36-year-old woman who was stabbed multiple times in the chest with a screwdriver at around 1:30 p.m. on Monday is expected to survive, police told Bay City News. Officers arrested Wilber Echeverria, 27, of San Francisco at the scene, on the 2900 block of 26th Street, near York.

From the Bay City News report, in the SF Appeal:

“[Officers] recovered the weapon from the victim’s car, which was parked nearby with the windows open.

“Echeverria was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, battery and domestic violence.”
