A 19-year-old man was shot early Saturday morning on Shotwell Street near 24th Street. His injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

The shooting occurred at 1:36 a.m. on Saturday, according to police. A neighbor told Mission Loc@l that he heard “what sounded like two or three gunshots, a pause of a minute or so and a single shot.”

Police said that three suspects are being sought in this shooting but no descriptions are available at this time.

The shooting is currently under investigatation, authorities said.

Another shooting occurred early Friday morning on Capp Street near 24th Street.

  1. What the heck is going on and what are the police doing?? I grew up in this neighborhood . My grandparents lived here since the 1950’s and I am tired of the apathy regarding violence that I see from our city government. The attitude seems to be ” well that’s the mission”.

    1. That is indeed the attitude – try talking to one of the Mission supervisors about why they let the 16th and Mission BART plaza be the urine infested, crime riddles, open air drug market it is – they won’t even admit there’s a problem there and that nobody is doing a thing about it.
