A 35-year-old woman was robbed on Tuesday afternoon by suspects carrying both a knife and a gun, according to police.
At around 1:30 p.m., the victim was on the 400 block of Guerrero Street near 16th Street when two suspects approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. Clutching her purse, the victim turned to face the suspects and saw that one had a knife.
The other suspect then used a gun to strike the victim’s face.
Both men fled with the purse. The victim was unable to give a detailed description of the suspects. No arrests have been made.
The victim suffered minor injuries, including bruises and lacerations to her forehead and face.
Burglars broke into a residence on Tuesday in the 3300 block of 22nd Street, between Bartlett and Valencia streets, and took gold jewelry from the home of a 60-year-old woman, police reported.
The victim told police that she last remembered seeing her jewelry yesterday around noon.
She left home and when she returned at around 7 p.m. she noticed that the jewelry was missing. No arrests have been made.
