The 47th annual San Francisco full marathon kicks off Sunday morning at 5:15 a.m. Runners will start at Embarcadero and Market, follow the perimeter of the city through Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina District and cross the Golden Gate Bridge and back before cutting east through the city to conclude near the starting point.

Near the end of the race, runners will take Hermann Street to Guerrero Street and then turn east on 16th Street to Wisconsin Street. The stretch along 16th Street is roughly 1.3 miles of the 26.2 mile route.

Runners will get views of the San Francisco Bay, parks and both Chase Center where the Warriors play and Oracle Park where the Giants play. The event is also a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.

The winner last year, Brice Daubord, finished in two hours and 26 minutes. The last person crossed the finish line in 2023 in eight hours and 15 minutes.
