A 24-year-old woman was hit by a pick-up truck at the corner of Mission Street and Precita Avenue, police said, and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening head and torso injuries.

The collision occurred at 9:58 p.m. on Saturday and the driver did not stop after hitting the woman, fleeing north on Mission Street, according to police. Neither the truck nor driver had been found as of Monday morning.

Man Beaten with Beer Bottles

At 2:35 a.m. Sunday at Mission and 24th, a 29-year-old man approached a group standing on the sidewalk, thinking they were friends of his. When the six suspects started throwing beer bottles at the victim, he ran and fell, after which the six men crowded him and continued to strike him with their bottles. They then fled on foot down Lilac Alley behind the McDonald’s.

The man suffered bruising throughout his body and was treated at San Francisco General Hospital. There is no lead on the suspects as of Monday morning.

Brawl Over Traffic Collision

At 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, a group of four was beaten by a man and a woman in their 20s after being involved in a traffic collision with the pair’s vehicle.

Two men and two women were driving eastbound on Division Street when a vehicle cut them off, resulting in a collision, police said. The male driver of the offending car got out of his vehicle, yelling at the female driver he had cut off. Her three companions got out of the car, and she tried to call the police. But the suspect “threw her phone down,” and a fight ensued, according to the police.

“The other occupants [of the vehicle that was cut off] tried to break up the fight,” police spokesperson Grace Gatpandan said, “but the victim was knocked to the ground and hit in the head by the male suspect. Ultimately, the fight ended with both parties getting in their cars and leaving.”

The victims were injured while attempting to break up the fight by both the male suspect and female suspect and suffered cuts and swelling to the face. When police met the victims at the corner of Alameda Street and Potrero, one was taken to San Francisco General while the rest were treated at the scene. As of Monday morning, there was no information on the suspects, who fled in their white Ford Escape.

Restaurant Robbery

Monday at 1:10 a.m., a man in his early 30s entered the McDonald’s at 302 Potrero Ave. from a back door and pointed a gun at a 24-year-old male employee, demanding he open the restaurant’s safe. The suspect then took an unknown amount of cash from the safe and fled through the back door. No arrests were made.
