Mission Local decided to ask park-goers about the trash left behind on from weekend parties at Dolores. Here’s what they said:

  1. I think it’s great to see the city trying to help the problem, but honestly they are not doing enough. With over 5,000 visitors to the park nearly every weekend, the lack of bathrooms, trashcans, and the perpetually delayed construction only increases the problems. The city is at fault as much as the individuals who fail to act responsibly.

We’ve started a Facebook group to bring together the community that enjoys Dolores Park, you can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/keepdoloclean/

  2. Terrific vid, just giving folks a chance to weigh in on the park and cleaning it up. Sexiest dude (so many to choose from!!) is the chunky tattooed fella in the white T at the :44 mark.

  3. The Trash Monitor, hired but a few weeks ago is not even on City Pay Roll. He is with a non profit funded by Recology. This is very sad.
Why can’t the City clean up its own park?

    1. Should we also pave our own streets?
What other taxpayer funded services do you think we should do without?
My opinion is that our public servants should do their jobs and provide the services we all pay for, or we should replace them with new employees that are willing to do so.
