The communities most affected my natural disasters always are the ones with the least amount of financial resources. People who can’t afford to live here often say that same message, “well I can’t wait for the big one to strike and then everyone will leave and I will be sitting pretty”. The marina got wrecked and us common folk were still priced out. It is a terrible thing for people to wish for. To scratch it into the sidewalk is pointless.
