Saturday around 11:20 a.m., a small fire broke out in a home near the corner of 18th and Alabama Streets. According to witnesses, and confirmed by officers on the scene, the fire came from a burning stove.
Eight emergency vehicles arrived on scene soon after the fire was reported. The larger crew had light work and put the fire out quickly and left the scene soon thereafter. No injuries were reported.
