It’s 7 a.m. and 52° now and expected to rise to sort of sunny, sort of foggy 66°. Details for the next 10 days are here.
Election results are in. Looks like it was a tight race between the two Davids, but Chui came in first over Campos. They’ll both have a chance to duke it out again in the general election in November. It also looks like this city really doesn’t want to mess too much with our waterfronts, and defamed politician Leland Yee still got a lot of people gunning for him (pun impossible to resist). Full results here.
At the Campos party last night at Virgil’s, spirits remained high as the prospects of a November win still seem strong:

In other voting news, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously yesterday for a resolution calling the Muni drivers to get back to work and SFMTA director Ed Reiskin says he’s “cautiously optimistic” that today should be much better. We shall see. Best to have a Plan B today.
Lunch specials with no wait at Mission Chinese??!?
Have a good day everyone. May your buses be on time and your sense that participatory democracy accomplishes some semblance of progress be intact!
