The omnipresent forces of parking control are blind to the holidays, so, even though your four-day weekend has you in a haze of giddy glee, it’s business as usual for our friends at the SF Department of Parking and Traffic.

Parking enforcement officers hand out upwards of $250,000 worth of citations per day in San Francisco, and long weekends are traditionally an easy way to nab those still in a Thanksgiving fog. Out-of-town visitors, Black Friday bargain-hunters and the scores of folks who have the day off may easily make the pricey mistake of not paying meters or heeding time restrictions.
