The 11th Altered Barbie art show is in full swing at the 50 Shotwell gallery in the Mission. The exhibition, which has 35 artists contributing from around the world, features barbies transformed into surreal and fascinating works of art: think Guillotine barbie.

The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday 1-7:00 pm, and Sunday 1-6:00 pm, and the show runs until November 17th. The closing reception on the 17 will feature cabaret performances, local musicians the Ethel Mermam Experience, the Bay Area Brass Band, and a meet and greet with the artists.
