The infamous naked acrobat of BART has been released on his own recognizance, authorities said on Wednesday.

Berkeley acrobat Yeiner Alberto Perez Garizabalo, 24,  is accused of stripping down to his birthday suit and performing a series of circus-worthy stunts at the 16th and Mission station last spring. The event, which was highly shocking but considerably impressive, gymnastically speaking, was caught on video, which subsequently went viral.

His impromptu performance at BART is believed to have been sparked by a mental breakdown, for which Perez is receiving treatment. Mission Local spoke to Perez in July, when he was being treated at San Francisco General Hospital.
