A 31-year-old woman suffered non life-threatening injuries after she was assaulted Thursday evening on Market Street near Duboce Avenue.
Police said that a man between the ages of 20 and 30 approached her with a knife and cut her in the upper torso. He then fled in an unknown direction. No description of the suspect is available. The incident happend at 6 p.m. Thursday.
