Marlyn Martinez from San Francisco International High School qualified for the state wrestling championship with a fourth-place finish in the 235 weight class at the Central Coast Section championship this past weekend. This is her first year competing in high school athletics. She will compete at the state championships on the weekend of Feb. 23, becoming the first athlete in her school’s history to qualify for a state event. Watch her compete here.
