Sample message commenters will see when leaving a comment.

Dear Mission Local readers,

We are implementing a new comment verification system to improve the quality of discussion on our website. Effective immediately, a verified email address will be required to post a comment on our website.

When you leave a comment, our system will send an email to the address you provide, with a link that will verify the address. You will not need to be verified again if you continue to use the same email address.

We never share your email addresses or use them for marketing purposes. This new verification system is simply a way to track commenters and keep the discussion civil.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Mission Local Staff

P.S. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder; Gmail and Yahoo may mark it as spam. We are working to improve this.
