A woman was slightly injured when she was hit by the bumper of a 14 Mission Muni bus on South Van Ness Avenue between 20th and 21st streets Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m. as the bus traveled inbound on South Van Ness, according to Paul Rose, a spokesman for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
The woman “made contact with the front bumper of the bus,” Rose said.
Her injury was not life-threatening, Rose said, and she was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
The accident disrupted service on the 14-Mission line for about an hour and a half, Rose said.

Look at MUNI speeds on South Van Ness and you will conclude that there is no way to slightly contacted mid block.
I agree with your comment. However, neither you nor I know whether or not this woman was trying to dodge the bus, so it’s rather hasty to blame Muni. After all, she was between 20th and 21st streets, not in a designated crosswalk. Unfortunately, this seems to happen quite often on South Van Ness.
I never blamed MUNI in my comments rather pointed out that they do speed on the block.
The woman was under the bus. I don’t call this slight contact. See the video on South Van Ness traffic on you tube.
