Cab drivers beware: At around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a man approached the passenger window of a taxi parked close to Mission and 18th streets, simulated having a gun inside his sweatshirt, and demanded money. The driver gave up his cash and the suspect ran off.
No arrest has been made.

It was I with the fake gun that is why I kept it in my sweatshirt that I was indeed sweating in
Fake gun and simulated gun are different. If it was inside his sweatshirt, how would the cab driver or the police know either way?
How do we know there wasn’t actually a gun, then?
Hi Stephan,
The police report said the weapon used was a simulated gun, which isn’t a real one.
Best,
Lisette
Very cool. How do the police know there wasn’t actually a gun, then?
