Humphry Slocombe co-owner Sean Vahey said that although the business’s back kitchen and office were damaged by today’s early morning rain, the ice cream parlor was able to open.

“No product or ingredient was affected,” Vahey said. “We cleaned up, we’re open and back on the horse.”

Vahey said that the flood damaged one of two boxes of the company’s newly published “Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream Book.”
