This opening reception kicks off the Mercado Sin Fronteras Exhibition, which will feature Mexican folk art and craft, including a quilt created by a grandmother in memory of her grandson killed in a confrontation with drug cartels. Aside from art, there will be music and dancing.  Throughout the exhibit, the Mercado will celebrate Mother’s Day twice: May 10 for Mexican Mother’s Day and May 13.
