The benefit for Gaspar “Tio” Puch-tzek, the Hog & Rocks cook who was mistaken for a gang member and killed in late August, is today. If you want to help the family bring Puch-tzek’s body back home to Mexico, be sure to stop by the 19th Street restaurant. There will be a silent auction. You can also donate money by visiting any Wells branch and depositing to account number 3114477635 or send funds via Paypal to drink@hogandrocks.com.

Also taking place this weekend: Open studios, Rock Make Street Festival, Latino Film Festival (which includes a screening of our talented videographer Claudia Escobar’s The Old Bicycle/La Bicicleta Vieja). Take your pick or strategize.
