So, is Mission Loc@l just a blog for people to post pictures that accompany some vague headline? I had hoped it would cover serious issues confronting Mission residents. To be fair, Mission Loc@l offers serious journalism from time to time. But mostly, I find posts like these, that seem to aspire to little more than the bland sort of content found on Mission Mission.

Dear Reader,
This is probably not the answer that you’re looking for – but we aim to cover it all, in the same way that newspapers like the Chron and the Times and the Bay Citizen do. The Mission is a place where very serious things occur (crime, immigration troubles, cuts to social services, disparities in the ways different people are treated, infrastructure woes, and so forth). And the Mission is a place where bored little children ride the quarter ponies on Mission Street. We don’t feel like reporting on one topic compromises on our reporting on others, but if you want to stick to the serious journalism on our site I’d advise focusing on certain sections – “Government,” “Trouble,” “Business,” and “Education.”
