Well, this morning, the corner at 24th and Capp Streets was again, blank, sort of. The “We Want Our Mural Back” in red had been repainted sometime between yesterday at 8 a.m. and today. Oddly, the manager must have run out of paint, because one black tag remained.
Up to now, Evelyn Cornell, who lives in Sacramento and co-owns the building with her sister, has maintained that she wants to keep the wall neutral and the artist, Francisco Aquino, known as Twick, says it will continue to attract graffiti as long as it has no mural.
