A gang-related assault took place Friday at 11 20 p.m. on 21st Street near the Folsom playground where several assaults have occurred, according to police. Ten male suspects, ranging in age from their teens to their 20s, approached two male victims in their 30s and asked them what gang they claimed.

Police do not know what the victims replied, but both were assaulted by the group and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. One was taken to the hospital, the other one was treated on the scene. Whether any weapons were used in the assault remains under investigation. All suspects remain at large.

On Monday at 4:10 a.m., a male suspect threatened a male victim, placing a knife to the victim’s face, somewhere on the 3000 block of Harrison Street between 25th and 26th streets. The suspect then took the victim’s possessions and fled the scene. Police do not know the ages of the suspect or the victim. There were no injuries and no arrest has been made.
