It’s cold. And it’s going to get colder tomorrow night, possibly dropping below freezing. Makes me wish I had heat.

Why not try to warm up with some soup, then? The Kristin Hoppe, aka the Sexy Soup Lady, has started posting her sexy soup recipies on her new blog, the first is a tasty-sounding winter squash soup with apple, ginger and coconut. With Asian pear to boot. Yum.

The MaestraPeace Mural, painted in 1994 by Juana Alicia, Miranda Bergman, Edythe Boone, Susan Kelk Cervantes, Meera Desai, Yvonne Littleton and Irene Perez, and many helpers, covers two exterior walls and four stories of the Women’s Building. The design, which took a year and a half to plan, covers many themes: the healing power of women’s wisdom over time, the contributions of women throughout history, and the making of history by women from all corners of the earth …
