While the sun was still hot and the crowds tame, the scene on Valencia today was fun and lively. Come on down before Sunday Streets ends at 4 p.m.

Boutiques set up tables outside their storefronts for people.
Many danced to live music in the middle of the street.
Many local rock bands set up along the side of the street.
Many took the opportunity to campaign for the upcoming November 4th elections.

Andra Cernavskis is a student at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. She is Canadian by birth but grew up in New Jersey and then San Francisco's Miraloma neighborhood. She has also spent time in Toronto, Buffalo, and Montreal. The Mission is one of her favorite neighborhoods, and she is thrilled to be back reporting in San Francisco.
