Police responded to 911 calls of a fight that occurred in front of a bar on 26th and Mission streets early this morning. When officers got to the scene at around 2:00 a.m., they found a 37-year-old man with multiple gashes to his face.

Four male suspects are believed to have attacked the victim. According to witnesses standing outside the bar, the four suspects fled in a dark SUV after the attack. Police discovered the SUV stopped at 7th and Market streets, and took the four occupants to the Mission Police Station. Two of the suspects were booked, and the other two were released because of a lack of evidence proving they were involved in the stabbing.

The police said there was no record of why the fight began. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
