60 Seconds: Parking Meters in Northeast Mission

As the demand for parking increases in the Mission, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has drafted a revised proposal for installing paid parking meters in the district’s northeastern section.

The original proposal presented by the city agency over a year ago met with strong opposition from Mission business owners and residents.

Mission Local videographer Hanna Pincus recently asked Missionites their opinions on the ongoing controversy.

For Mission Local’s past coverage of the issue, read “Residents Outraged by Proposed Parking Meters Are Mostly Ignored,” “SFMTA Apologizes, Halts Parking Meter Plan” and “Business Owners: No More Parking Meters.”

For more information about the plan, see the SFMTA’s documentation of the project here. Stay tuned for more Mission Local coverage on this topic.
