Police arrested two teenage boys who allegedly robbed and beat up a 42-year-old man on Saturday.

The victim was sleeping at 23rd and Folsom streets at around 9:50 p.m. when the suspects woke him and demanded his property. One suspect brandished a knife while the other punched and kicked the victim until he gave them his jacket and cash.

The suspects, ages 16 and 17, were subsequently arrested.

Police also arrested a 22-year-old woman who stabbed two people on Sunday. The suspect and the victims, and man and a woman in their early 20s, had been involved in a verbal argument at around 3 p.m. at Mission and 17th streets.

During the argument, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed both victims.

The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and one was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of a laceration to the calf.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, two suspects snatched a Blackberry in broad daylight. The victim, a 43-year-old male, was approached by the duo, a man and a woman in their 20s, at Mission and 15th streets.

One of the suspects grabbed the phone while the other waived a knife at the victim. The suspects then fled on foot. This was the sixth phone stolen this month.

  2. Saturday afternoon, around 6pm, a violent confrontation between two teenage girls on Balmy Alley @ 24th St. They belonged to two groups of girls, all Latinas. The friends were cheering the fight, neighbors, merchants and residents screaming at them to cut it off. People calling police.
