Two female suspects used pepper spray on a 30-year-old man before robbing him early Tuesday, according to police.

The suspects, described as women in their 30s, approached the man around 1:30 a.m. on 22nd and Capp streets and began punching and kicking him. One suspect sprayed the man’s face with pepper spray.

They took his wallet, cell phone and jacket before fleeing. The victim suffered a small cut above his eye but refused medical treatment. No arrests have been made.

  1. Not much information here. I’d like to know, to protect myself, to what extent I fit the description of the victim. And whom I need to watch out for in terms of potential perpetrators. Hopefully SFPD actually knows more about this incident – and other similar incidents which seem to be becoming more common – than they have chosen to share with the press, or that the press has chosen to print. Printing only minimal hard information encourages speculation, which may be quite incorrect.
