For this week’s Sunday Mission Walk I headed out with photographer Jason Schlachet, who’s got an amazing variety of old-school cameras, today was a widelux and a Pentax 6×7. And I have to admit, since he was using film, that means we don’t have his shots to post yet, but we’re hoping to do a remix of this photo essay later on in the week once the film gets processed and scanned.

We started down 24th Street, which in my opinion is a great street but very difficult to shoot on, and then wound our way back up along Valencia Street. This is some of what we (I) saw.

His work history includes being a paper pusher in Los Angeles and a youth program coordinator in Ramallah, and is currently a student editor at Mission Local, which means he gets to read a lot of news and tell people what to do.

He also waits for the day when bacon and buffalo sauce combine on one plate.
