Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

In two weeks, the next Dolores Park hill bomb will take place. After last year’s fiasco, with mass arrests of teenagers and subsequent lawsuits, city officials promised better planning for a safer event. But the SFPD hasn’t developed any new approach. Its only message to skaters: don’t skate, or you’ll be arrested.

Wonder what it’s really like inside a campaign’s headquarters? Next up in our See how they run series on mayoral candidates, H.R. Smith visits Aaron Peskin’s operation. Watch out for the pigeons.

The six D11 candidates for supervisor spoke at an Ingleside forum last night, where they were asked about their past positions (on DA and school board recalls,) their plans for fully staffing the SFPD, and their current picks for mayor.

More soon,

Sara
