Good afternoon!
This weekend, the Mission celebrates Precita Eyes Muralists and its 45 years of making murals in the Mission and beyond. Eleni writes about the organization and the difference it has made.
One of my daughters participated in Precita when she was very young, helping with murals and art projects in the Mission and at a temporary mural at the Asian Art Museum. It is a very cool place for kids and adults.
Susan Cervantes, a founder, makes all of this happen. It is no surprise that Precita has survived for so long.
Yujie writes about happenings in gig land, including a new union.
We’ll have neighborhood notes up soon so check the site.
And have a wonderful weekend,
Lydia
