Another class-action lawsuit against the city and sheriff’s department has been filed, this one by nine women held in S.F. C0unty Jail #2. Abigail Vรขn Neely reports the women allege “dirty” and “unhealthy” conditions, and say they have less access to sunlight, hot water, and healthy food than men in jail.

Vidrale Franklin, the longtime principal at Bayview’s Drew elementary school, spoke at its graduation ceremony, slamming the SFUSD. Franklin says she was unfairly forced to resign for managing school funds in ways she alleges are common in schools without PTAs.
