Fear of being detained is discouraging some asylum seekers from continuing their cases, writes Margaret Kadifa. Outside the San Francisco courthouse, ICE has arrested immigrants who show up for routine hearings.

Well, the Mayor’s contentious budget was passed yesterday.The ban on RV parking also passed, as did a measure giving the mayor more power to shift Prop C funds from housing to shelters. See Marina Newman‘s report for details.

About 50 public housing tenants from 10 sites crowded into Mayor Lurie‘s office, asking him to hold their property managers accountable for long-standing disrepair and dangerous conditions.
