Good afternoon! Here’s the latest:
Families, patients, and staff of the Adult Residential Facility at SFGH protested the city’s plans to move out 83 mentally ill residents, so it can repurpose their longtime home. Care for the elderly patients at new sites will be contracted out.
The SFUSD is reviewing and considering canceling its ethnic studies program, after protest from a group of parents who insist that the class pushes liberal politics. Educators said changing curriculum this late would be a “logistical nightmare.“
Follow Mission Local’s live reporting from Pride all weekend. Today, Dolores Park starts to fill up for the Trans March.
More soon,
Sara
