Good afternoon!

Mission Local’s been covering mismanagement and trouble at the public housing rebuild on Potrero Hill. After our stories about a deadly fire and dangerous conditions sparked a hearing at the Board of Supes, Annika Hom went back to find out if anything’s changed for frightened tenants.

In more uplifting news, the Bay Sox girls’ baseball team just slugged its way to a national championship. Find out how a team of 12 hopefuls grew to a league of 120, and about the girls’ determination to avoid being pigeonholed into softball.

Eyewitnesses say the car that flew over the Sanchez stairs was stolen by force just moments before its high dive and crash. The owner, who’d been chased by a group of people and struck with a skateboard, tried to run uphill after his car. “It was total chaos,” a neighbor told Mission Local.
