Z Space: Screaming Queens: Nightz @ Z

Join us in Z Below on Monday, February 10 for a free screening of Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton’s Cafeteria directed by Victor Silverman and Susan Stryker. We know many of you, like us, are heartbroken and scared which is why we feel such a strong need to see and share stories of resistance right now. This documentary follows the transgender women and drag queens who fought police harassment at Compton’s Cafeteria in San Francisco’s Tenderloin in 1966, three years before the famous riot at Stonewall Inn bar in NYC. There will be an opportunity to reflect on the film and our many feelings over drinks after the screening.
