Verdi Club: Nirav Sanghani and the Pacific Six, featuring Rhonda Sauce, at the Woodchopper’s Ball
NIRAV SANGHANI AND THE PACIFIC SIX, FEATURING RHONDA SAUCE:
Led by longtime musician and swing dancer Nirav Sanghani, the Pacific Six plays tight arrangements of early jazz and swing tunes for dancers and listeners. Featuring Rhonda Sauce for their performance at the Woodchopper’s Ball, the band’s repertoire will include a focus on the 1930s vocal recordings of Billie Holiday, Mildred Bailey, and more. The band has been playing for live audiences since 2017 and released albums in 2019 and 2022 (both available on Bandcamp).

WOODCHOPPER’S BALL:
The Woodchopper’s Ball, San Francisco’s swing hot spot, is a weekly Tuesday night swing dance event held at the historic Verdi Club in San Francisco’s Mission district. Named after the classic 1939 swing tune by the Woody Herman Orchestra (and their biggest hit!), it features monthly classes, a full bar (21+ only), and a dance party with a drop-in lesson and the largest variety of live swing dance music in town! Properly worn face masks required during class, optional otherwise.
* LIVE MUSIC DANCE PARTY, 9:00-11:30pm, with a different band each week! $15 admission includes a drop-in Basic Swing dance lesson (9:00-9:15pm), perfect for complete beginners (no partner required)!
* FULL BAR & LOUNGE, 8:00pm-closing (21+ only)! Enjoy a classic cocktail in the swanky vintage bar and lounge!
* 2,500-SQ-FT DANCE FLOOR: Large, beautiful, hardwood dance floor with plenty of room to swing out!
* APRIL (5-week) LINDY HOP, BALBOA, and SOLO JAZZ monthly class series continue tonight, 7:00-10:00pm. Enrollment includes admission to Dance Parties! Register online in advance and save (no partner required)!
