On view at SOMArts between June 7–29, the Queer Cultural Center (@qcc_sf) presents the collaborative mural, “In Solidarity: Queer and Trans Artists for a Free Palestine” as part of their 27th Annual National Queer Arts Festival. BLOOM Collective and xtal Azul are inviting community members to stand in solidarity with Palestine, as there can be no “business as usual” during Pride Month while the genocide continues in Gaza.
“In Solidarity: Queer and Trans Artists for a Free Palestine” affirms that queer and trans liberation are fundamentally intertwined with Palestinian liberation, Indigenous liberation, and global land back movements. This collaborative mural offers space to gather in solidarity and mourning to remember, honor, and call the names of Palestinian martyrs.
➡️ Entry to the Main Gallery is free during open hours:
Thursday, 3–7 PM PST
Friday, 12–7 PM PST
Saturday & Sunday, 12–5 PM PST
➡️ Event ticket information:
Events are free for Palestinians and others directly impacted by the ongoing genocide. Attendees are asked to contribute a sliding scale donation between $10–$100, no one turned away for lack of funds. Larger donations will offset the cost of other attendee tickets. 50% of ticket sales will go toward QCC programming and the remaining 50% will be donated to the Muslim Alliance for Gender and Sexual Diversity (MASGD), a mutual aid network supporting queer and trans Palestinians in Palestine.
