Michelle Thomas Fine Art: Monotype Printmaking Class by Dana Morrison

$50.00
Learn the art of monotypes from exhibiting artist Dana Morrison and create your own works of art, cards, and gifts.
A monotype is a unique print made by rolling printmaking ink onto a surface, then transferring that image to paper.
Unlike other types of printmaking, a monotype is just that — mono, or singular. You can make many prints from the same surface, but each print will vary slightly. . .or greatly.
All materials, printable objects, and tools will be provided, but please bring a few objects from which you’d like to try making a print! Good objects will be mainly flat: You can bring freshly picked leaves or flowers, stones with flat surfaces, wood, or other materials that can be inked and washed off or simply discarded after a print (Don’t bring anything too precious to you, as occasionally the ink doesn’t wash off completely.).
$50 per person, all materials provided.
Space is limited.
The class will be held at Michelle Thomas Fine Art Gallery + Studio, 40 29th St, San Francisco 94110.
All sales final.
ADA Note: Attendees must descend one flight of stairs to access The Studio.
